Cross Infection Control

As a practice we take Cross Infection Control very seriously. We follow the 'British Dental Assocation' guidelines and keep upto the 'Good Practice' standards. Staff regularly attend training courses in this field and meetings are held to keep upto date with our policies on this subject for the safety of patients aswell as ourselves.

Disposable - We try to use as many disposable items as possible. Other items are Sterilized - We use the latest equipment for this and follow the manufacturers guidelines, we also have this and all other equipment regularly serviced and monitored during each session, then record our findings and take the relevant action if necessary.

Sterilox-'Safe Environment' revolutionary generator creates a disinfectant solution for the fast and effective decontamination of our dental unit waterlines and impressions.

Vaccines - All staff are kept upto date with immunization and records are gained from their GPs.

PPE - Protective clothing is worn for all procedures.

Sanitization for patients & staff - We now have hand sanitizers (as recommended by the NHS) in all waiting and reception areas. Also, the recommended hand scrub in the staff and patient toilets are upto the current or exceed the standard.
